About Us
We are a nonprofit organization, linking all Head Start programs in Utah. The Utah Head Start Association consists of a parent, friend, director, and staff from each agency in Utah.
Each plays a vital role in the association. The work of the Association is divided into Ad-Hoc Committees. Each of these committees has goals, objectives, and activities designed to align with and support the strategic plan.

We are continuously working on Advocacy for Head Start. We help our communities understand what Head Start contributes to low income families. You can help by inviting the media to your next Head Start event. Show your community what great things you are doing in your Head Start program.
State awards are available for applicants. You must contact the program in you area to be eligible for community awards. All others awards are for current parents, staff, and directors of Head Start programs.
The State conference will be held in January 22, 2010. This conference is open for individuals interested in early childhood education. You may register after October 12, 2009 and until January 7, 2009.
